AERO 45

Description

The wheelset is 100% carbon fiber; made from a combination of both Toray T700 and T800 carbon fiber cloths, this combination makes the wheelset lighter than equivalents from the fast and light series. The wheelset also features a 3K Carbon Braking Track which offers more brake heat resistance, better than equivalents in the Fast and Light Series.

The lightest carbon rims are attached to R01 hubs by black Sapim CX-Ray aerodynamic spokes. On the Front wheel, 18 Sapim CX-Ray spokes secure the R01 hub. On the Rear wheel, the 10/11 speed Shimano hub is secured by 24 Sapim CX-Ray spokes.
The Aero Wheelset Series is famed for its super-light features; the Aero 45 wheelset comes at a total weight of 1357g (594g on the front wheel and 763g on the rear wheel). The Aero 45, features a maximum rider weight limit of 232lbs or 105kg. The Aero 45 is also approved by the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) for usage in UCI sanctioned roads.

Specification

AERO 45 is ICAN’s one of the prime wheels in the AERO Rim Wheels series. This is a tubeless carbon wheelset that perfectly fits into 700c wheels. As the name suggests, the wheelset is of 45-millimeter depth and has a 25mm external width overall making it a perfect choice for aerodynamics. The optimized rim shape is lightweight as well with a total weight of 1357g for both front and rear wheels. Even heavy riders weighing a little over 100kg can easily ride them.

The mid-section 45 mm size is neither too deep nor too shallow and the rider would be able to accelerate quickly and efficiently. But what makes this wheelset special is the Sapim Secure Lock Nipples mechanism that enables the nipples of the wheel from untightening.
