- It is supposed to be hard going uphill. We want it to be that little bit easier; we want you to get uphills and still have enough energy to enjoy the view at the top and not be doubled over in oxygen debt. So we’re bringing you our disc brake Aero 35 wheelset with DT Swiss hubs.
- Our 35mm deep wheels are amongst the lightest in the world. We achieve this low weight by constructing them from a mix of Toray T700 and T800 carbon fiber cloth. Our tubeless ready rim is still as strong and stiff as before; you’ll notice that every time you pedal out of a hairpin, but is just a little lighter. The low weight combined with the stiffness means that you’ll not be wasting a single watt as you climb up mountain passes.
- Adding to the stiffness, you can pick from for 2 thru axle DT Swiss options. You can have the more affordable 350SL or, the lighter 240S. Either option comes with a Centrelock disc mount and the famed DT Swiss star ratchet system. The front is 12x100mm thru axle. The rear comes in a 12 x 142mm thru axle option.
- Spokes are sometimes unfairly forgotten about, but they are integral to your wheel build. That’s why we have gone with Sapim CX-Ray spokes. They are fatigue resistant, don’t flex, are light, and are aero. They are the perfect finishing touch for your new wheelset.
- Tarmac road or a muddy track, the DT Aero 35 is sure to perform on any surface. Recommended for road and Cyclocross Racing, this set of wheelset sums up all the best qualities of its equivalent in the Fast and Light series, but in lighter forms.
- The DT Aero 35 Disc Wheelset features carbon fiber rims made from a combination of Toray T700 and T800 carbon cloths; which makes it lighter than aluminum equivalents. The rim is finished to enable easier tire installation with a 2-way clincher profile is compatible with tubeless tires which are known for their rolling resistance and immunity to punctures. The aerodynamic shape of the wheel reduces wind resistance and attrition. Wide rims offer more stability; 29mm wide rims are 4mm wider than other wheelsets in the DT Aero Disc Series.
- The DT Aero 35 features an option between Swiss Hubs DT 240S and DT 350S hubs. The hubs are held in place by 24 aerodynamic Sapim CX-Ray spokes on both the front and rear wheels. Both DT240S and DT350S are incredibly lightweight and reliable. The ratchet system of these Swiss hubs provides the best freewheel action.
- They also promote the smooth transition of power from your body to the wheels. DT 240S/350S Swiss hubs are compatible with Shimano’s Centrelock brake disc rotors and Shimano 10/11 Speed Cassettes.
This 700C Wheelset is strong enough to support a maximum rider weight of 105Kg or 232Lbs.
