The ICAN Aero 40 is a 40mm depth wheelset in the AERO Series. Developed by the ICAN Research and Development Team, the AERO Series is a superlight improvement of the Fast and Light Series.
The rim is made of a combination of both Toray T700 and T800, making it lighter than its equivalent in the Fast and Light Series by 59.15g on the front wheel and 50.15g on the rear wheel. This wheelset is still strong enough to support a rider who weighs up to 232lbs or 105Kg.

The Aero 40 features a tubeless ready 2-way clincher rims that offer easier tire installation. Tubeless tires offer better rolling resistance and protection from punctures. The 25mm wide rim offers more stability at high speeds; better than the 23mm wide rims of ICAN standard wheelset.
The R01 hubset of the Aero 40 is also lighter than its equivalent in the Fast and Light Series. ICAN engineers shed extra weight by reducing the number of holes and spokes from 20 CX-Ray spokes on the front wheel to 18 CX-Ray spokes.
The Aero 40mm Wheelset also features an improved brake track. The Aero 40 brake track can withstand up to 300o of heat while braking- this is 60o more than its equivalent in the Fast and Light Series.
