The AERO features a tubeless ready 2-way clincher rims that offer easier tire installation. Tubeless tires offer better rolling resistance and protection from punctures. The 25mm wide rim offers more stability at high speeds; better than the 23mm wide rims of ICAN standard wheelset.
The R01 hubset of the AERO is also lighter than its equivalent in the Fast and Light Series. ICAN engineers shed extra weight by reducing the number of holes and spokes from 20 CX-Ray spokes on the front wheel to 18 CX-Ray spokes.

Sapim Secure Lock nipple is a locking mechanism that prevents nipples from untightening.Secure Lock nipple can achieve a stable and well defi ned deformation on the thread. Each nipple has an additional locking resistance of 18 +/- 3 cNm.
