The Aero 40 Disc is a new wheelset for 2019. These wheels build on our previous Fast and Light wheel models and make them even better. The first thing you’ll notice about these wheels is that they are light, they are around 100g lighter per wheelset than our previous Fast and Light models.
We did this by changing our carbon fiber layup. The wheels are no longer just made from Toray T700 carbon fiber but are now constructed from a mix of Toray T700 and T800 carbon fiber. You still get the same wide and tubeless-ready shape of our FL series but save weight. The wheels are still just as stiff and strong and still come covered by our 2-year warranty.
The 25mm wide 40mm deep rims give a nice aero boost and line up perfectly with wider tires to stop the air being detached from around them, creating drag. The rims are laced, using Sapim CX-Ray spokes, to our own centrelock disc hubs. Our hubs feature sealed bearings and come in a thru-axle style. The front hub is 12 x100mm, and the rear axle is 12 x 142mm making a strong connection with whichever frame you run them using.

2-Way Clincher Tubeless. Tubes or No-Tubes
Use either traditional tires with tubes, or tubeless tires without tubes. Tubeless tires can provide lower rolling resistance and better protection from punctures.
