setting up in a basement; what height should the ceiling be in order to swing a driver? Dad is 5’10”

From the surface of my mat to the ceiling in my basement is 8’ 7.5”. I am 5’8” and when I swing the driver it clears the ceiling by about 4 inches. My driver is about 47” long. Be careful and take some SLOW practice swings. Full disclosure – I hit very few balls with driver in the basement because it’s super loud.
