I am seeking to bring this down to Costa Rica. I am wondering about the 1 yr subscription to the E6. Does that work outside the u.s.

I believe it will work as long as you have a good internet connection. I don’t know about any restrictions that would prevent it from being used outside of the US. I would probably recommend that you register it before you leave just to be safe.
