You do not need Wifi to use it. It does have bluetooth to connect to a phone but that is also not required. It also comes with a micro USB cable for plugging into a computer for course updates as well as charging the battery. Most Garmin golf GPS units you can update courses and software through bluetooth with a phone and the Garmin app. Not sure on this one and the manual does not say. Might be by computer and the micro USB cable only…..
