I’ve had mine just long enough to be outside of the warranty coverage and I’ve developed 4 dead pixels (more to come). When I contacted Optoma they told me I can send it back to be repaired but it’ll be out of my pocket. Typically the part that goes bad on these is what’s called the DMD chip and Optoma informed me it’ll be around $800 just for the part if that is the case before labor. If you search the web this is a common problem which is frustrating since this isn’t a normal $400-600 projector. I’ve heard laser projectors aren’t as bad since they aren’t the same setup, but they’ll also cost you twice as much.
